Who we are
With the strong belief that Obstructive Sleep Apnea, being a health condition, should be managed by trained, accredited and proficient healthcare professionals, SRN Michelle Teo founded Zzenith Medical Alliance Pte Ltd, which The SnooZze Clinic is a part of.
Originally equipped with a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and Management, awarded by the London School of Economics (under University of London External Program), Michelle decided to embark on a career switch to nursing in 2005. Graduating from Nanyang Polytechnic in 2007 with an Accelerated Diploma in Nursing, she joined the Institute of Mental Health before briefly moving on to the cardiovascular lab/ radiology department in Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
Having the passion to provide quality care to patients which she found meaningful and having the never-ending insatiable hunger for greater challenges, she alternated between providing end-of-life care for terminally ill patients and medical device sales for more than a decade before founding Zzenith Medical Alliance Pte Ltd in 2018, a place where both her desire to provide quality meaningful care to patients, and her thirst for greater challenges could be satiated.
What we do
We collaborate with like-minded healthcare professionals to offer patients the best we can do for them, whether in Singapore or Phnom Penh.
Sleep Diagnostic Tests - Our Level 2 Sleep Diagnostic Tests are administered by our team of locum sleep technicians who are experienced registered polysomnographic technologists. Results are then confirmed by our Principal Clinical Sleep Health Nurse, before generating a summary report to enable the patient to have a clearer understanding of their condition.
To reduce unnecessary costs for patients, our Level 3 Home Sleep Diagnostic Test Kits can be picked up from our clinic, and self-administered with ease. Alternatively, sleep tech administered Level 3 Home Sleep Diagnostic Tests are available at a fee.
CPAP Therapy Consultations - 30% of our patients comprise of patients who were not originally referred to us by their doctors or hospitals. These patients are usually already on CPAP therapy but find it difficult to adhere to it and come to us seeking help when no one else would or could help them.
Some of these patients may have stopped for a couple of years but know that they should be continuing with CPAP therapy due to deteriorating health.
Mask Fitting - Finding the “ideal” mask with the correct mask fit is one of the most crucial parts of CPAP Therapy. As such, our mask-fitting sessions for new CPAP users can take up to 60 to 90 minutes, as we try to strike a balance between what the patients prefer, and what we think would be better for them, based on their face shapes, nose shapes and their sleeping habits.
CPAP Therapy Trial - We strongly believe in the necessity of CPAP Therapy Trials. Most patients are able to adapt to CPAP Therapy relatively quickly and effortlessly, but we cannot deny that there is a minority group of patients who are unable to tolerate CPAP Therapy, regardless of how hard they try.
As such, to enable patients to try to adapt to CPAP therapy at their own time, our CPAP Trials range from 1 month to 1.5 months at no extra charge. In some instances, we recommend patients whom we feel are potentially suitable for CPAP therapy to repeat their one month trial at no extra cost.
